Exploring New Paths

It has been some time since I wrote a post here. Since starting my label in 2015, It was important to me that I kept you all updated with its progress, or any musings that I wanted to share. I had meant to post this in January, but alas I have let it slip from my commitments.

At the start of the year, I had given myself time, usually every new year I stop and take stock of things - where I am and where I want to be going. It made me reflect on The journey so far - my clothing label has been an incredible adventure, allowing me to meet fun and inspiring people from all walks of life, and dress women - giving them the confidence to take on the world with a swish of tweed!

…Having said that, my path has taken a diversion…after writing a book and having a baby. These new experiences have made me realise some things need to change, or I need to pivot as I am only one woman with only so much time. So I am going to ‘pause’ this fashion label for now and look to my other exciting creative pursuits under ‘Claire Gillies’. I’m a little sad about this, but being practical, I don’t feel I can give all my focus to the brand as once I could. So I want to have the creative freedom to try new things…as well as raise a little rascal. I intend to come back to this brand, and pick up where i left off….it’s just a matter of timing and the seasons of life.
